Naivasha Safari Camp shares a 35 km boundary with the western side of the Gonarezhou National Park The Camp is 5 km to the Boli Gate Park Entrance. Ideal for groups between 2-8 people
Naivasha Camp and the Mwachumeni Camp are ideally situated to stay in and do day trips into the Gonarezhou National Park as the camps almost border the Gonarezhou National Park. Thecamps are also ideal to overnight before going to stay in the Gonarezhou National Park and also on your way home after staying in the Park. The concept for now is: bring your own food and drinks and our ladies will cook it for you or if you like to have a braai they will support you with side dishes.
The rate is per night for the Camps and not per person for maximum 8 people. If there are more then 8 guests then we will have to adjust the price. There is space at the camp to erect some tents if need be.
Naivasha borders the western side of the Park. It is on the route to the southern section of the Park from Beitbridge Border Our Naivasha camp is approximately 46 km from the Zimbabwe/ Mozambique border (Sango Border Post). The campsite will consist of Braai/ Cooking area and a ablution block.
Naivasha and Mwachumeni can accommodate campers if they choose not to stay in chalets .
The Shangani Safaris Naivasha Camp a touch from a traditional Shangaan Village, consisting of a Gazebo (Dining Room area) and an outside fireplace with comfortable couches and a Barbeque-Grill. The Naivasha camp is in the middle of the bush surrounded by Mopane trees. Naivasha is bordering the Gonarezhou National Park. The Boli Gate, (Gate 7) is only 5 kilometers from the Camp towards the Sango Border Road. It is ideal for day-trips into Gonarezhou or before or after a trip into Gonarezhou to enjoy and relax and have a hot shower while our cooks prepare your meal.
The Safari Camp has two Chalets each has a queen and a 3/4 bed, with mosquito nets, fan if the generator is running, toilet and hot water-shower en suite. Two Tents each having two 3/4 beds with the possibility to add another bed. Outside hot water-shower and toilet.
Lighting:Candles are not allowed in the Chalets and in the tents. Please bring a torch with you for the time after the generator goes off.
Shopping: There is shop at the camp. The closest village to buy very basic items is Boli (19 km), Chikombedzi (35 km) or Chiredzi (92 km). In Boli and Chikombedzi you can only pay in Rand or USD. In Chiredzi there is a OK`s and a Pick n Pay and a possibility to buy ice for your drinks.
Road Access:Located 536 kilometers from Harare South Toll Gate. From Chiredzi to Naivasha Camp is 92 km dirt road. From Boli to the Camp it`s 19 km towards the Sango Border Post. Access is by self driving, 4×4 vehicle recommended to enter the Park.
First Aid:There is no first aid in Camp. Please make sure that you take all your requirements in with you.
Malaria:Naivasha is a Malaria area. Repellents should be brought and applied before last light.
Cell Range:There is no Signal in Camp. Drive 10 km towards Boli and you can get signal if you need.
